AMANI TRADE NETWORK

BACKGROUND

The team consists of highly skilled professionals with expertise in accounting and the investigation of suspicious activities for both public and private organizations. Additionally, the team includes a senior trader with over 20 years of experience in the coffee industry, including a decade of managing operations in East Africa.

Our mission is to provide transparency in supply chains and direct access to farmers, with a primary focus on building strong, lasting relationships with farmers and AMCOs through our extensive network in Mbinga and Mbeya. We aim to differentiate ourselves by being a loyal and trusted partner in Tanzania, committed to fostering trust and integrity in every aspect of our operations.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Tanzania Coffee Board (TCB) regulates the industry, oversees quality standards, and facilitates marketing. Recent policies have focused on improving productivity, enhancing quality, and increasing farmer incomes. Notably, the share of coffee traded through direct exports and parchment has risen significantly, helping to better connect farmers and Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Societies (AMCOS) with buyers.

We have identified underperforming players in the local market who offer subpar services to farmers and have a track record of unreliability in contract execution. Our objective is to gain market share from these untrusted traders by delivering superior services to farmers and AMCOS. Our efforts will focus on two key regions: Mbinga and Mbeya, the primary Arabica coffee-producing areas with the highest potential. Together, these regions produce up to 30,000 metric tons annually

Instead of investing in upcountry assets, our focus is on building strong relationships with farmers and AMCOS, enabling them to access better financing opportunities and fostering mutual growth. we believe that Amani will gain market share in the local market very quickly as it benefits from an extensive netwrok in Mbinga and Mbeya and through a close collaboration with TCB.
